- sunflower seeds*
Eat as a snack or in salads and desserts. Make your own scroggin or eat with fresh fruit, muesli or porridge for breakfast. An ideal way to start your day.
The organic activated sunflower seeds are soaked in water until they begin to sprout. They are then dehydrated at low temperatures (below 45°C) until they are about 10% lighter and really really crunchy.
Activated sunflower seeds are packed full of nutrients including protein, magnesium and vitamin E.
They are also particularly high in selenium, which is a very important nutrient for New Zealanders due to the fact that our soils are very low in this important nutrient.
