Watermelon seeds can be used much in a similar way you would use most nuts or seeds. They are particularly useful for their mild colour in flavour – which makes them a great ingredient to use in a wide range of recipes e.g. in pesto instead of pine nuts or in baking in place of almonds etc.
Eat as a snack or in salads and desserts – including raw desserts. Make your own scroggin or eat with fresh fruit, muesli or porridge for breakfast. An ideal way to start your day.
The organic watermelon seeds are soaked in water until they begin to sprout. They are then dehydrated at low temperatures (below 45°C) until they are about 10% lighter and really really crunchy.
Activated Watermelon seeds are packed of protein containing over 28%. They are also a good source of magnesium and healthy unsaturated fats.
